Millennial Internships

Along with the many benefits offered to you by IIABOC, we would like to further extend the value that is currently offered to our Membership.  As we all know, the insurance industry is dramatically changing.  It is already researched and proven that over 1/3 of the entire work force is represented by Millennial's. What is even more interesting is that by 2020, Millennial's will represent over half of the U.S. workforce.  We all know a major percentage of the work force in the insurance industry today are Baby Boomers (those born between 1946 and 1964).

What does this mean? Within our industry more than half will retire within the next 10 years!  Nonetheless, many Millennial's have shown interest within the insurance industry.  IIABOC has acknowledged this and as a result, we will continue to link opportunities of internship for upcoming generations interested in the insurance industry.  

As an example, we have attached a resume from a high school senior who is already very interested in becoming a producer within the insurance sector.  Members, please take the time to review this candidate.  This is just the one out of many who are very interested in becoming an Insurance Professional.

As internship applications become available, a page will be developed on our website to allow you, our IIABOC member the opportunity to invite an intern into your practice.
